[1:45]  1 tn Heb “the Lord.” The pronoun (“he”) has been employed in the translation here for stylistic reasons, to avoid redundancy.

[1:45]  2 tn Heb “did not hear your voice and did not turn an ear to you.”

[3:3]  3 tn Heb “was left to him.” The final phrase “to him” is redundant in English and has been left untranslated.

[20:4]  4 tn Or “to save you” (so KJV, NASB, NCV); or “to deliver you.”

[26:7]  5 tn Heb “the Lord.” See note on “he” in 26:2.

[31:18]  6 tn The Hebrew text uses the infinitive absolute for emphasis, which the translation indicates with “certainly.”

[31:18]  7 tn Heb “he.” Smr, LXX, and the Targums read the plural “they.” See note on the first occurrence of “they” in v. 16.
